Ahlberg Cattle is family owned and operated by Rod and Vicky Ahlberg along with their daughter, Cashley and her husband Bill Smith, located south of Wayne, Nebraska breeding Simmental and SimAngus cattle, both blacks and reds.  We feel that our small herd of 40 cows are a very powerful and highly functional group of cows that are required to produce profitable offspring – ones that are strong in maternal traits, longevity and soundness with eye appeal without sacrificing performance. We want our cattle to perform in today’s economy.  We heavily use AI as well embryo transfers.  Many of our females go back to our main donor cow – Sedgwicks Erica U332, the 2010 National Junior Angus Champion Owned Female.  Data is kept on all of our calves and we have a rigid criteria to allow them to stay past weaning.

We always try to get to a couple of shows each year – Nebraska State Fair – and have exhibited at the National Western Stock Show, Denver.

We have bulls and females for sale by private treaty as well as a few selling at the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic in Kearney.

Visitors are always welcome to stop by anytime!
